WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The late-sixties missed out on one tremendous theatrical experience, the premiere of the all-male version of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The show was to have appeared on Broadway with a stellar cast (Jon Voight, Warren Beatty, Richard Burton, and Henry Fonda). Unfortunately, the playwright Edward Albee prevented it from taking place. New Conservatory Theatre Center's presentation of WHO'S AFRAID OF EDWARD ALBEE? mightily spoofs what would happen if an all-male show actually tried to take place. It follows a troupe of male actors as they prepare to put on Albee's famous play. The production not only creates laughs, but studies how gay men and the theatre co-exist.
