WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Jets and the Sharks, two feuding street gangs, are on a collision course on the streets of New York City. Throughout the chaos, a love story blossoms between Tony and Maria, who rise above the racial tensions and violence that surrounds them. But will it be enough for both of them to survive? Winner of 10 Academy Awards and 2 Tony Awards, West Side Story features electrifying dances and some of the most magnificent music ever written for the Broadway stage including "Maria," "Tonight" and "Somewhere."
