A musical adventure based on L. Frank Baum's 1900's fantasy, The Wizard of Oz is the embodiment of the value of friends and family. Young Dorothy yearns to escape her mundane existence on her aunt and uncle's dusty Kansas farm. As she dreams about traveling "over the rainbow" to a different world, a tornado whisks her and her little dog Toto into the middle of a magical land…and right on top of the Wicked Witch of the East. With the help of the Good Witch of the North, Glinda, she escapes the wrath of the Wicked Witch of the West and is soon on her way to the Emerald City, where she plans to meet with the Wizard of Oz to help her get back home to Kansas. Along the way, she meets the munchkins and a rag-tag group of friends who join her on her journey-- Scarecrow, in search of a Brain; Tin Man, in search of a Heart; and Cowardly Lion, in search of Courage. The foursome -- Toto too - embark on an adventure down the yellow brick road to find the key to all their hopes and dreams- the Wizard of Oz.
