The Altarena Playhouse presents the world premiere of a brand-new family musical. The Man Who Saved Christmas is loosely based on the true story of toy manufacturer A.C. Gilbert and his real life battle with Washington D.C. policymakers who instituted a ban on toy sales during the holiday season when American was engaged in World War I. This new work has book, music and lyrics by Ron Lytle, who also directs. Musical direction is by Armando Fox.
