WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Playwright, activist, lover, blacklisted screenwriter -- Lillian Hellman, with her rabble-rousing life and work, continues to exert a captivating hold on American culture. The Little Foxes reveals Hellman's unrivaled ability to create some of the meatiest roles in the modern canon, including Regina Giddens, a character the New York Times called "that malignant Southern bitch-goddess." When a prospective business deal promises to bring Regina and her wealthy brothers even more money, they each scramble to secure the spoils for themselves -- by any means necessary. The Little Foxes is Hellman at the top of her dramatic form, handing down a juicy indictment of the oldest American family value of all: greed. A.C.T. is offering the following special events and programs in conjunction with The Little Foxes A.C.T. Prologue Tuesday, October 31st at 5:30 pm.
