The basis for hybridization in the field of agriculture and husbandry is to produce an entity that has greater vigor or growth than its components parts. In the same spirit, The Hybrid Project: What Do You Want To Do? has taken this definition of hybridization and applied it to the field of culture and expression to create a stronger, broader, and more diverse articulation of issues facing all of us. The program is designed to break down the barrier between artists and audience - creating a space that is as much about questions, the dialogue and the process as it is about the product - as much about what happens on stage as what happens between the performers and the audience.
