The Marsh San Francisco announces a special limited run of radio host and stand-up comic Maureen Langan's comedic and moving tale, Daughter of a Garbageman. This one-woman solo show takes audiences through Langan's 1970s upbringing, raised by her Irish mother and New York City sanitation worker father who always told her and her five siblings to work hard, get educated, and in return, life would reward them. In Daughter of a Garbageman, Langan taps into the frustrations of hardworking people everywhere who wonder if they, too, were raised wrong.
Langan is a radio host and stand-up comic who has been featured on HBO, CBS, Fox, and other networks.
The Marsh San Francisco announces political comedian Will Durst's solo show, Durst Case Scenario, has been extended due to popular demand, now running through March 27, with two additional February performances at the Marsh Berkeley. Specializing in political humor for folks who don't like politics, Durst's rollicking feast of outraged and outrageous satire is a comedic exploration of how America and the world are changing in the Trump era.
Turning the tables on film noir tropes, Jill Vice's 60-minute dramedy tells its shadowy tale not from the typical point of view of the hard-boiled detective, but from that of the femme fatale. When Sarah's footing with her handsome podiatrist boyfriend is undermined by an archrival, she takes drastic steps to keep her man. A Fatal Step is directed by Mark Kenward and developed with David Ford.
