Hellhound on My Trail, three darkly comic and deftly interrelated stories, is the first play by the award-winning fiction writer and poet Denis Johnson. In the first story, Marigold Cassandra finds herself caught between sexual harassment, corporate agendas and family bonds. Next, Jack Toast and Kate Wendell dance around a raw, sexual energy as they try to negotiate an increasingly dense maze of bureaucracy. This roller-coaster ride doesn't end until Mark Cass Cassandra, Marigol's brother and protector, is defending himself against his own tequila haze and the elusive Mr. Salazar, in a peculiar clash of spiritual longing.
