Loosely based on actual events, this intense psychological thriller uses striking expressionistic storytelling techniques to explore the reasons why 17 year old Alan Strang blinded six stable horses. A boy with a dangerous obsession, his brilliant child psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, is increasingly drawn into Alan's troubled world of ecstasy and anguish, and must face his own demons of dispassion and disillusion.
