World War II thunders across Europe, but it can't chill the warmth of Dolly West's kitchen on the cliffs of County Donegal. There, her feisty family faces an invasion of its own: three Allied soldiers who turn up one day for supper at Dolly's table. Despite Irish neutrality, the war changes everything, unraveling the moral threads of the 1940s Irish Catholic household, awakening new found romance and unforseen revelation.
