WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A.C.T.'s Studio A.C.T. performs Company, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by George Furth. Frances Epsen Devlin directs, with musical direction by Naomi Sanchez and choreography by Vivian Sam. In the sprawling metropolis of New York City, Robert is single--but hardly alone. In this smart and sophisticated musical comedy, Robert navigates his way to his dreaded 35th birthday in the company of his well-meaning (but often overbearing) married friends. Wondering if he'll be single forever, he searches for answers while visiting friends, hitting the dating scene, and (over)analyzing it all. Set to a dazzling score and filled with an ensemble of captivating characters, Company offers an irresistible glimpse into the timeless puzzle of human relationships.
