Dark Porch Theatre's first project in residency at the EXIT Theatre, Comedy Ballet is an unconventionally fun theatre/dance hybrid written and directed by Martin Schwartz and produced and choreographed by Margery Fairchild. The play follows KC, a hapless wine clerk, as he is pursued by a homeless actor-painter who may or may not be sleeping in the shelves, an inscrutable beauty who may or may not want to take him home, and three feverishly grieving gangsters who may or may not want to ritually sacrifice him. Set to an original electro-acoustic score by Derek Phillips, the play unfolds under the aegis of two 4-by-8-foot paintings created by Russian American artist Mikhail Poloskin.
