A.C.T. Opens The Costume Shop, a New Performance Space

American Conservatory Theater celebrated the opening of its new performance space, The Costume Shop, on December 7. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was on hand to commemorate the occasion. The intimate 49-seat venue, located at 1117 Market Street (at 7th Street), will serve as a home to a diverse lineup of professional and A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts Program productions.
A.C.T. is a Tony Award-winning theater and educational institution dedicated to nurturing the arts, fostering talent and providing continuous community engagement. The conservatory serves more than 3,000 students annually and continues to gain recognition for its actor training.
