Cady Huffman Set for 42nd Street Moon’s Salute to Dorothy Fields

Tony Award winner Cady Huffman will be the special guest star for 42nd Street Moon’s The Dorothy Fields Salon, at the Alcazar Theatre, on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 pm.

The evening is a salute to the words of lyricist and librettist Dorothy Fields. In her 45-year career, Fields wrote lyrics to the music of Jerome Kern, Cy Coleman, Jimmy McHugh, Harold Arlen, Albert Hague, Arthur Schwartz, Harry Warren, and others. Her catalogue of song hits includes “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” “On the Sunny Side Of the Street,” “A Fine Romance,” “I’m In the Mood For Love,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Make the Man Love Me,” “Big Spender,” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now.”

Huffman won the Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards for originating the role of Ulla in The Producers. Other Broadway credits include La Cage Aux Folles, Big Deal, and a Tony-nominated turn in The Will Rogers Follies.
