Berkeley Rep’s Managing Director Susan Medak to Receive The Berkeley Community Fund’s 2013 Wheeler Medal Award

The Berkeley Community Fund has announced that it will award the 2013 Benjamin Ide Wheeler Medal to Berkeley Repertory Theatre managing director Susan Medak. The medal will be presented at the Fund’s annual awards dinner on October 4.
The award, established in 1929, honors a person who has made significant, long-term contributions to the greater Berkeley community. It is named for one of the most admired presidents of the University of California.
In addition to the awarding of the Wheeler Medal, the October 4 awards ceremony and dinner will showcase the Fund’s High Hopes Scholarship program. Proceeds from the dinner will support the scholarship program.
