Megan Cavanagh, Rebecca Luker, et al. Set for Upcoming 42nd Street Moon Shows

Three-time Tony nominee Rebecca Luker will be featured in 42nd Street Moon’s next Salon Evening on October 28, which kicks off a multi-year celebration of composer Jerome Kern. She will join a group of Moon singers to offer Kern classics like “All the Things You Are,” “The Song is You,” “I’ve Told Every Little Star,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” and “I Won’t Dance,” as well as rarely-heard gems.

As previously reported, Megan Cavanagh will star as Pseudolus in 42nd Street Moon’s production of the Stephen Sondheim-Burt Shevelove-Larry Gelbart musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, to be presented at the Eurkea Theatre, October 6-24, with an opening on October 9. Greg MacKellan will direct.

The cast will also include Luke Chapman (Hero), Bob Greene (Senex), Rudy Guerrero (Lycus), Rob Hatzenbeller (Miles Gloriosus), Meghan Ihle (Phila), Chris Macomber (Domina ), Michael Rhone (Hysterium), along with Christine Bagube, Isaiah Boyd, Janine Burgener, Tyler Costin, Kate Paul, Jack Sale, and Elmer Strasser. The creative team will include Dave Dobrusky (musical director), Tom Segal (choreographer), Louise Jarmilowicz (costumes), and Ellen Brooks (lighting).

The season will also include Kellen Blair and Joe Kinosian’s musical Murder for Two (November 3-21); Rodgers and Hart’s Babes in Arms (December 1-19); the Gershwins and George S. Kaufman’s Strike Up the Band (April 6-24); and Silk Stockings (May 4-22), with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and a book by Kaufman, Leueen MacGrath and Abe Burrows.
