42nd Street Moon Announces Season

42nd Street Moon has announced the line up for its 2008-2009 season, which will open with Irma La Douce (September 25-October 12). Greg MacKellan will direct the show, with musical direction by G. Scott Lacy, choreography by Linda Posner, costumes by Louise Jarmilowicz, and sets by Tom Orr.

The show tells the story of a big-hearted streetwalker who falls for a young law student. The cast will include Alison Ewing as Irma, Steve Rhyne as law student Nestor Le Fripe, and feature Michael Barrett Austin, Robert J. Cowan, Bill Fahrner, Rudy Guerrero, Nick Nakashima, Kyle Payne, DC Scarpelli, Victor-Alexander Tapia, and Chris Uzelac.

The season will continue with the George and Ira Gershwin musical, Girl Crazy, October 23-November 16; Ben Franklin in Paris, November 28-December 14; the Joseph Stein-Steven Schwartz musical, The Baker’s Wife, March 19-April 5; The Great Revues, April 16-26, and Wildcat, May 7-24, starring Maureen McVerry
