Anna Deavere Smith’s Let Me Down Easy to Get Second Run at Berkeley Rep

Anna Deavere Smith’s solo play, Let Me Down Easy, now at Berkeley Repertory Theatre through June 26, will get a second run at the theater, August 10-September 4. Leonard Foglia has directed the production.

Conceived, written and performed by Smith, Let Me Down Easy explores the health care system and the way our bodies carry us through life.

Smith’s other works include Twilight: Los Angeles 1992 and Fires in the Mirror. She also currently co-stars in Showtime’s Nurse Jackie, and is also well known for her previous television work as Nancy McNally on NBC’s The West Wing.
