Jason Robert Brown to Offer Master Class, Benefit Concert for Broadway by the Bay

Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown will offer a one-day-only master class and concert for Broadway by the Bay (BBBay) on July 24 the Bayside Performing Arts Center. Proceeds from the concert will benefit BBBay’s Youth Theatre Conservatory (YTC).

Brown will perform selections from his musicals Parade, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, and 13, as well as from his first solo album, Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes. In addition, he will offer a sneak preview of his forthcoming musical, Honeymoon in Vegas.

The master class is open to participants of all ages and will give them the opportunity to learn performance secrets from the award-winning songwriter.

The YTC is a program that gives students (ages 4-18) solid foundations in acting, singing and dancing for the musical theater. Later this summer, the YTC summer musical theatre camp will perform 13 (August 5-8).

Concert tickets are $35 (students) and $50 (adults). Tickets for the master class are $25. Concert/master class packages are available for $50 (students) and $65 (adults).
