Allison Briner, James Moye, and More Set for TheatreWorks’ Tinyard Hill

Casting has been announced for TheatreWorks’ production of Tinyard Hill, to play the Lucie Stern Theatre in Palo Alto, California, July 15-August 15, with an opening on July 18. Robert Kelley will direct.

Set in the 1960s, Tommy Newman and Mark Allen’s world premiere musical is about a father and son whose world gets turned upside down when the son receives his draft notice for the Vietnam War. The cast will include Allison Briner, Chris Critelli, James Moye, and Melissa WolfKlain.

The musical is the centerpiece for TheatreWorks’ 8th Annual New Works Festival, which will also feature staged readings of the plays The Sparrow and the Birdman, Auctioning the Ainsleys, and The North Pool, along with staged readings of the musicals Makeover, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, and Tales from the Bad Years.
