Carrie Fisher’s acclaimed solo show Wishful Drinking has been added to the 2007-2008 season at Berkeley Rep. The show, set to run at the Roda Theatre from February 8 through March 30, will be directed by Tony Taccone. It replaces Peter Quilter’s comedy Glorious, starring Rita Moreno, which has been postponed due to a schedule conflict.

In addition, Berkeley Rep will present the West Coast premiere of Theatre de la Jeune Lune’s production of Figaro at the Roda, April 25-June 8. Inspired by the works of Beaumarchais and Mozart, the piece was adapted by and co-stars Steven Epps and Dominique Serrand.

The Roda will also feature a production of George Bernard Shaw’s classic drama Heartbreak House, set on the eve of World War II, directed by Les Waters (August 31-September 14); and the West Coast premiere of Mary Zimmerman’s acclaimed Argonautika, based on the Greek myth (November 2-December 16).

Offerings on the Rep’s Thrust Stage will include Frank Galati’s production of Haruki Murakami’s after the quake (October 12-November 25), a world premiere solo outing by award-winner Danny Hoch (January 11-February 19), and the American premiere of Tragedy: a tragedy by Will Eno, author of Thom Pain (March 28-April 27).
