Two-time Drama Desk Award nominee Cheyenne Jackson (The Performers) will join Alexandra Silber (Master Class) in a five-day concert series of West Side Story with the San Francisco Symphony. Conducted by Michael Tilson, performances will run from June 26-July 2 at Davies Symphony Hall.

West Side Story, the iconic American musical featuring a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, tells a modernized Romeo-and-Juliet love story. Set on the Upper West Side of New York City, Tony and Maria are the “star-crossed” lovers, torn apart by their allegiances to competing teenage street gangs, the American “Jets” and the Puerto Rican “Sharks.”

Cheyenne Jackson and Alexandra Silber will star as Tony and Maria, with Jessica Vosk as Anita, and Kevin Vortman as Riff. The cast plans to record an album of the concert, to be released in 2013.
