Magic Theatre Announces 2012-2013 Season
Magic Theatre has announced the productions set for its 2012-2013 season, which will include two world premieres.
Magic’s first production of the season will be the West Coast premiere of Sharr White’s The Other Place (September 12-October 14), an emotional thriller about brilliant scientist Juliana Smithton, to be directed by Loretta Greco. Next, Meredith McDonough will direct the world premiere of Anna Ziegler’s look at what it means to be a family Another Way Home (November 7-December 9).
2013 will kick off with the world premiere of Se Llama Cristina (January 30-March 3) by Octavio Solis, in which a man and woman wake up in a strange room and must piece together their past identities and relationship. Loretta Greco will direct. As the season continues, Magic will present the Bay Area premiere of Julie Marie Myatt’s The Happy Ones (March 27-April 28), a powerful story about new beginnings. The season will close with a fifth production that is yet to be determined.
