Beach Blanket Babylon, Wicked and More Set for San Francisco Theater Festival

The San Francisco Theater Festival, an annual free showcase of the region’s theater companies and solo performers, will be presented at multiple venues on July 26, 11 am – 5 pm.

Roughly 100 shows will be represented, usually performing 20-30 minutes of material each, at 14 indoor and outdoor stages. Highlights will include performances by cast members from Wicked and Beach Blanket Babylon. All types of theater are presented, including drama, comedy, one-acts, excerpts, scenes, musical theater, solo performers, improv, children’s shows, new works, workshops, opera, and more.

Venues will include Yerba Buena Gardens, YB Center for the Arts, Zeum, Metreon, and Contemporary Jewish Museum (all within a short walk of each other) in downtown San Francisco.
