San Francisco Mime Troupe to Present Too Big to Fail

The Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe will open its 50th Anniversary season with a song and dance satire entitled Too Big to Fail, which will tour throughout San Francisco, the East Bay, North Bay, Central Valley, and Peninsula July 4-September 27. Wilma Bonet will direct.

Told in the tradition of the West African Griots, this modern day epic follows Filiji, a man in love with his family, his village, and most of all, his goat, Bamuso. The musical comedy explores the twists and turns of banking bureaucracy and international finance to find out how all the greed got started.

The cast will include Velina Brown, B.W. Gonzales, Ed Holmes, Lisa Hori-Garcia, Adrian Mejia, and Michael Gene Sullivan.
