American Conservatory Theater has announced that it will present a series of special events celebrating Lorenzo Pisoni’s one-man clown show Humor Abuse, co-created with director Erica Schmidt.

Humor Abuse is a collection unforgettable memories and mesmerizing routines, all performed by Pisoni, who grew up as a performer in San Francisco’s Pickle Family Circus.

Special events will include the San Francisco premiere of the documentary Stage Left: A Story of Theater in San Francisco (January 29, 6:30pm). Former director of the Clown College at the Circus Center in San Francisco Paoli Lacy will lead an interactive workshop (February 4, 1 pm). In addition, A.C.T. has set up an email address (pickles@act-sf.org) where audiences can email their personal Pickle Family Circus memories and photos to be displayed during the production’s run.
