The Old Globe Theatre has announced selections for its 2012 summer season.

Three works will run in repertory, June 3 – September 30: As You Like It, directed by Noble; Richard III, directed by Lindsay Posner; and Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee’s Inherit the Wind, directed by Noble.

Michael Wilson will direct the West Coast premiere of Divine Rivalry by Michael Kramer with D. S. Moynihan (Old Globe Theatre, July 7-August 12), featuring a painting competition between Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, orchestrated by political mastermind Niccolo Machiavelli.

Richard Seer will helm the San Diego premiere of Yasmina Reza’s Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage (Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, July 27-September 2), in which two sets of parents meet to discuss a playground altercation between their sons, and end up fighting amongst themselves.
