La Jolla Playhouse to Produce Nina Raine’s Tribes

The La Jolla Playhouse will present Nina Raine’s award-winning play Tribes as part of its 2013-2014 season. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.
The work, which was nominated for the 2010 Olivier Award for Best Play and won the 2012 Drama Desk and New York Critics Circle Awards, centers on Billy, the deaf son of a raucous family of intellectuals who falls in love with a woman losing her hearing and finds acceptance in the deaf community.
