Hershey Felder, Adrian Noble et al. Set for Old Globe’s 2011 Summer Season

The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego has announced the schedule for its 2011 summer season.

Adrian Noble will return as the Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Festival, with works to be presented in repertory in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre (May 29-September 25). Noble will direct Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus, with the Festival also including Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Ron Daniels.

Hershey Felder will return to the Old Globe Theatre with a limited engagement of George Gershwin Alone (July 1-10), followed by Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein (July 15-August 28). Both works are directed by Joel Zwick.

The season will also include the West Coast premiere of John Morogiello’s romantic comedy, Engaging Shaw (July 29 – September 4), in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre.
