Gregg Barnes, Patricia Conolly Named Associate Artists of San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre

Tony Award-winning costume designer Gregg Barnes and actress Patricia Conolly have been named Associate Artists of The Old Globe, a prestigious honor which recognizes their unique contributions to the institution.

Barnes has designed costumes for the world premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods, which is currently playing the Old Globe. His other work at the theater includes Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Lucky Duck, What the World Needs Now, Hay Fever, and Suds. He received a 2006 Tony Award for his work on The Drowsy Chaperone, and received Tony nominations for Legally Blonde and Flower Drum Song.

Conolly is currently appearing in the Globe’s West Coast Premiere of Joe DiPietro’s The Last Romance. Among her other credits at the theater are As You Like It, Ghosts, King Lear, Clap Your Hands, and Othello. She was recently seen Off-Broadway in the Atlantic Theater Company’s Gabriel, with Broadway credits including Is He Dead?, Waiting in the Wings, Judgment at Nuremberg, The Heiress, The Circle, The Sound of Music, A Small Family Business, Blithe Spirit, and The Coast of Utopia.

Other actors, directors and designers who have received the honor of being named Associate Artists of The Old Globe include Richard Easton, Tovah Feldshuh, Robert Foxworth, Harry Groener, A.R. Gurney, Mark Harelik, Dakin Matthews, Marion Ross, Ken Ruta, Seret Scott, and David Ogden Stiers.
