Jesus Christ Superstar to Play La Jolla Playhouse in November

Des McAnuff’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim RIce’s hit musical Jesus Chris Superstar, which is currently on view at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, will play the La Jolla Playhouse, November 18-December 31.
The show replaces the world premiere of previously announced Finding Neverland.
The company will feature Paul Nolan (Jesus), Chilina Kennedy (Mary Magdalene), Josh Young (Judas Iscariot), Brent Carver (Pontius Pilate), Bruce Dow (King Herod), and Mike Nadajewski (Peter). Additional casting will be announced shortly.
The creative team includes choreographer Lisa Shriver, music director Rick Fox, scenic designer Robert Brill, costume designer Paul Tazewell, lighting designer Howell Binkley, sound designer Jim Neil, and video designer Sean Nieuwenhuis.
