San Diego Repertory Theatre has announced five of the six productions that it will offer during its 2010-2011 season, which will open with a new staging of Hairspray (July 17 – August 5), to be directed by Sam Woodhouse, with assistance from Richard Trujillo.

The season will continue in September with Tracy Letts’ Superior Donuts, which will be followed by Ed Bullins and Mildred Kayden’s musical about life in New Orleans in 1917, Storyville (November 13 – December 12), to be directed by Ken Page.

In the new year, the theater will present Athol Fugard’s The Road to Mecca, which will run January through March, and Sarah Ruhl’s In the Next Room, or the vibrator play (March 19 – April 17), which Woodhouse will also direct.

A fifth production, along with casting, creative teams and complete schedule information will be announced at a later date.
