Ed Asner to Star in FDR at Poway Center February 20

Ed Asner will offer a one-night-only performance of the solo play FDR at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts on February 20 at 8pm.
The piece is based on the Tony Award-winning play Sunrise at Campobello by Dore Schary and explores Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s White House years.
Asner is perhaps best known for his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Lou Grant, on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and the series which bore the character’s name. On Broadway, he has appeared in productions such as Born Yesterday, Face of a Hero, and The Threepenny Opera. Recent credits include his Grammy nominated performance on the children’s audio book Scat and an Emmy Award nominated guest appearance on CSI: NY.
