Lily Tomlin Adds Second Performance at Balboa Theatre

Two-time Tony Award winner Lily Tomlin has added a second performance of her show An Evening of Classic Lily Tomlin at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30pm. Her previously announced January 28 performance is nearly sold out.

The show features a gallery of some of Tomlin’s most beloved characters. The actress received a special Tony in 1977 for her solo show Appearing Nitely and the 1986 Best Actress Tony for The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, the solo, multi-character piece she wrote with longtime partner Jane Wagner. That show was revived on Broadway in 2000.

Her many film and television credits include Nine to Five, A Prairie Home Companion, Nashville, The West Wing, Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace, Murphy Brown, and Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In.
