Trinity Repertory Company has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with a new production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s Camelot, to run September 10 -October 10. Curt Columbus will direct.

The season will continue with a revival of Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular (October 15 – November 21). Over the holidays, Columbus will stage Joe Landry’s It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, which is based on Frank Capra’s classic movie.

In the new year, the theater will produce revivals of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible (February 4 – March 13), directed by Brian McEleney; Dael Orlandersmith’s Yellowman (February 25 – April 3); and Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias (April 15 – May 15). Additional directors and casting for the productions will be announced at a later date.

The season will conclude with a world premiere: Stephen Thorne’s The Completely Fictional–Utterly True–Final Strange Tale of Edgar Allan Poe (May 6 – June 5). Directed by Columbus, the play imagines a tremendous journey for the author of such stories as The Tell-Tale Heart.
