The Pittsburgh Public Theater has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber's The Royal Family. Ted Pappas will direct the production, which will run September 30 - October 31. He will also direct two other productions at the theater in the coming year: Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's Camelot (January 20 - February 20) and Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage (May 26 - June 26).

The theater's season will also include Lanford Wilson's Talley's Folly (November 11 - December 12), to be directed by Pamela Berlin; Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation (March 3 - April 3), which will be staged by Jesse Berger; and Tracy Letts' Superior Donuts (April 14 - May 15), which will be directed by Rob Ruggiero.

The theater's programming will be rounded out with appearances by The Second City, which will offer a satirical look at politicians and celebrities, Fair & Unbalanced (December 16-18), and the Reduced Shakespeare Company, which will offer The Complete World of Sports (abridged), to run January 4-9.
