Sandy Duncan to Star in The Glass Menagerie at Mountain Playhouse

Jeffrey Correia will join his mother, Sandy Duncan, in Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, at The Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania. Real-life mother and son will be playing Amanda Wingfield and son Tom. Guy Stroman will direct the production, which will run September 15-27.

Duncan received Tony Award nominations for her roles in The Boyfriend, Canterbury Tales, and Peter Pan. She also appeared on Broadway in Love Is a Time of Day, My One and Only, and Chicago, and recently starred in the City Center Encores! production of No, No, Nanette. Glass Menagerie will mark the that she and Correia share the stage in a professional production.

Stroman recently directed Duncan in Driving Miss Daisy at the Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas. They first worked together on Broadway in Peter Pan, with Duncan in the title role and Stroman as a pirate. Stroman also directed Duncan in a one-woman show, Free Fall, which she co-authored.
