Drew Lachey, Sally Struthers, et al. Set for Pittsburgh CLO’s 2010 Season

Pittsburgh CLO has announced preliminary casting for its previously announced 2010 summer season.

Pop singer and Dancing with the Stars veteran Drew Lachey will play Corny Collins in Hairspray (July 20-August 1), directed and choreographed by Barry Ivan. The cast will also include Paul Vogt as Edna Turnblad, E. Clayton Cornelius as Seaweed, Kecia Lewis-Evans as Motormouth Maybelle, and Ashley Spencer as Amber von Tussle.

Two-time Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers will play Carmen Bernstein in Curtains (June 22-27), directed Charles Repole and featuring choreography by Michael Lichtefeld. Spencer is featured as Nikki Harris.

John Treacy Egan will play Max Bialystock opposite Jim Stanek as Leo Bloom in The Producers (July 6 – 18) . The cast will also include Spencer as Ulla. Bill Burn directs and choreographs.

Ed Dixon will play Dr. Engel in The Student Prince (August 3-8), directed and choreographed by James Brennan.The season also includes Oliver! (June 1-6), directed and choreographed by Richard Stafford and Miss Saigon (June 8-20), directed and choreographed by Barry Ivan.

Howell, Gene Saraceni, Tim Hartman, Daniel Krell, and Myrna Paris. Additional casting will be announced at a later date., John McClain will be lighting designer for all of the CLO’s 2010 summer offerings.
