Society Hill Playhouse has the unique distinction of being Philadelphia's oldest professionally operated off-Broadway type theatre. Housed in the historic Garrick Hall, just one half-block off South Street, Society Hill Playhouse features two theatres: the Main Stage, located on the second floor, and the intimate Cabaret Theatre on the first floor.
