Englishman Charlie Baker is so shy, he simply can't speak to strangers. So, when his old Army buddy, demolitions expert Froggy LeSueur, drops Charlie off at a rural Georgia fishing lodge while he goes to work at a nearby military base, he simply tells the other guests that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and doesn't speak any English.
