Full cast information has been announced for the Lantern Theater production of Harold Pinter's The Hothouse, set to open the company's 2008-2009 season, September 12-October 12. Kathryn MacMillan will direct.
Written in 1958, and shelved for over 20 years before its first production, The Hothouse voices Pinter's concerns with post-war British politics, Western responses to the Cold War enemy, and the suppression of individual freedoms to preserve the public order.
The cast will feature Kristyn Chouiniere, Mike Dees, John Morrison, Paul Nolan, Peter Pryor, and Luigi Sottile. The creative team will feature a set design by Meghan Jones, costumes by Mark Mariani, lighting by Janet Embree, and sound design by Christopher Colucci.
