Azuka Theatre has announced its 2008-2009 season, which will begin with Jordan Harrison's Kid Simple: a radio play in the flesh, August 27-September 13, about a child prodigy who invents a machine that can hear the un-hearable. Kevin Glaccum will direct a cast featuring Keith Conallen, Delante G. Keys, Kevin Meehan, Joe Mallon, Kathryn Petersen, Amanda Schoonover, and Zura Young.
The season will continue with a concert production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch in November; and the world premiere of Bruce Walsh's new play, Wishey Neat, April 3-26, about a "Professional Philosopher" who parks cars at a posh club, lending a sympathetic ear to sorrows of its patrons.
Finally, Azuka's Spotlight Series will feature readings of new plays on October 14, January 13, and May 12.
