The full cast and creative team have been announced for the Mauckingbird Theatre Company production of Joe Calarco's play, Shakespeare's R&J, to be presented on the Adrienne Theatre's Mainstage, August 1-23. Peter Reynolds will direct.

This intimate four person production explores youthful desires, vulnerability, and burgeoning sexuality as four schoolboys at a repressive preparatory school discover William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and find themselves immersed in the tragic story of forbidden love.

The all-male cast will feature Evan Jonigkeit as Romeo, Conrad Ricamora as Juliet, and Newton Buchanan and Nicholas Park as the two other students and various characters.

The creative team will include Marie Anne Chiment (costume design), Meghan Jones (set design), and Maria Shaplin (lighting design).
