Tony Bennett, Chris Botti, Aretha Franklin, Idina Menzel, Regis Philbin, et al. to Perform at Philadelphia’s Mann Center

The Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia has announced its lineup of summer concerts.

The Philadelphia Orchestra will be joined by Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who currently co-stars in the hit FOX-TV series Glee, and guest conductor Steven Reineke on June 24.

Other guest artists who will perform with the Orchestra include pianist Haochen Zhang (June 15), Regis and Joy Philbin, who will narrate Peter and the Wolf (June 16), trumpeter Chris Botti, violinist Lucia Micarelli, and singer Sy Smith (June 17), singer Angela Brown (June 22), pianist Andre Watts (June 23), T, cellist Gabriel Cabezas (July 26), Grammy Award winner Aretha Franklin and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice (July 27), and Planet Earth composer George Fenton (July 29).

In addition, performers who will appear at the Center include Celtic Woman (July 31), Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright (August 4), Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma (August 11), Herbie Hancock’s The Imagine Project (August 13), Tony Bennett (August 28), The New York Pops with Mark Nadler (September 22), and The Chamber Orchestra of Phiadelphia (September 25).
