Joel Rooks will star in the Society Hill Playhouse production of Say Goodnight, Gracie, The Life, Laughter & Love of George Burns and Gracie Allen, to perform March 25-May 31.

The solo play, which earned a Tony nomination in 2003, is penned by multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winning writer Rupert Holmes and will also feature (in pre-recorded voiceover) Didi Conn as Gracie Allen.

Rooks understudied the role of George Burns in the play's Broadway production, and has played the role regionally. Additional theater credits include Taller Than A Dwarf, The Tenth Man, The Sisters Rosensweig, The Secret Order, Rocket to the Moon, Iron, and Comic Potential.
