Full cast and creative team information has been announced for InterAct Theatre Company's world premiere production Andrew Case's The Rant, to play January 23-February 22, with an opening on January 28. Seth Rozin will direct.
Case has structured the play as a Rashomon-like journey in which the witnesses of the shooting of a young African-American teenager offer varying accounts of the event, leading the mother of the boy to cry racism and the woman investigating possible police misconduct to the fact that "truth" is surprisingly elusive.
The cast will include Elena Araoz (Lila Mahnaz), Aldo Billingslea (Charles Simmons), Kimberly S. Fairbanks (Denise Reeves), and David Ingram (Alexander Stern). The production will feature set & lighting design by Marka Suber, costume design by Mary McCool, and sound design by Kevin Francis.
