Robert Cuccioli, best known for Jekyll & Hyde, portrays Joseph Surface in the McCarter Theatre production of Richard Brinsley Sheridan's The School for Scandal. In a world obsessed with rumor, gossip, and innuendo, characters scheme, seductions swirl, plots thicken, and scandals mount daily. Sheridan's enduring comedy proves that our insatiable interest in everybody else's dirty laundry is as compelling today as it was more than 200 years ago. Mark Lamos directs.
