Mary Zimmerman adapts and directs Homer's epic, transforming the monumental Greek adventure story into a performance of enthralling spirit and stunning beauty. The story of Odysseus? adventuresome return home from Troy - a voyage beset by sea monsters, sirens and the gods themselves - is brought to panoramic life. Animating this nearly 3,000-year-old tale is the powerful desire to go home again, a feeling as theatrically stirring as the mightiest brush with death-defying danger.
