WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Don't miss a rare opportunity to see legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim (West Side Story, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd) and one of his greatest proponents, New York Times columnist and former theatre critic Frank Rich, share the stage for an evening of conversation. Mr. Sondheim and Mr. Rich will engage in a live, unscripted dialogue, reminiscing about Sondheim's six-decade career, legendary collaborations, creative inspirations, and rich theatrical and cinematic résumé.

A seven-time Tony® Award winner and recipient of the Pulitzer Prize (Sunday in the Park with George), Sondheim has not only collaborated on more than a dozen landmark shows and written countless standard songs, but has also been the single most influential force in bringing the Broadway musical into the modern age. One of the shrewdest minds and sharpest pens in journalism, Frank Rich possesses what playwright August Wilson has called a 'keen sense of history coupled with an unswerving belief in American culture.' Together Rich and Sondheim will reflect on Sondheim's epic career and their 40-year friendship.
