The Walnut Street Theatre for Kids presents Arts Power's Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, based on the book by Virginia Lee Burton. It's a race against time! Mike Mulligan is faced with losing his faithful steam shovel, Mary Anne. As powerful new diesel engines begin to take over, Mike refuses to take his friend to the junkyard. This tightly knit duo never give-up and go searching for work. Finally, when a little town needs someone to dig a foundation, Mike confidently boasts that if he and Mary Anne can't finish the job in one day, they will work for free! Your kids will sing along with this musical delight.
